Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande just released a stellar new music video together on Youtube just a few hours ago. Fans are calling it the perfect blend of two previous hits from the artists “Born This Way” and “Break Free”.
The 34-year-old “Poker Face” singer has been hard at work on her “Chromatica” album with this new long being the latest addition. It was rumored that Gaga was going to collaborate with another major artist for an upcoming single, but who could have predicted that it would have been Ariana Grande?
The “Thank U Next” singer has expressed how difficult it can be to sing about something that still hurts, and this new song is also about past pain:
“Of course because I’m an extremist, I’m like, OK, I’ll go on tour! But it’s hard to sing songs that are about wounds that are so fresh. It’s fun, it’s pop music, and I’m not trying to make it sound like anything that it’s not, but these songs to me really do represent some heavy shit.”
Lady Gaga has made comment to her recent accolades including what her latest album-in-progress “Chromatica” means to her.
“I think that the beginning of the album really symbolizes, for me, what I would call the beginning of my journey to healing, and what I would hope would be an inspiration for people that are in need of healing through happiness, through dance,” Gaga said. “And that’s in what I would call radical acceptance… For example, I know that I have mental issues; I know that they can be sometimes rendering me nonfunctional as a human. But I radically accept that this is real.”
As one of the most popular female pop artists in the world, Ariana Grande’s fans have been eager to get a fresh update from her after many of her concerts were canceled due to the Coronavirus. She had been staying home in Beverley Hills, CA to self quarantine for several months now.
She has been on a roll with artist collaborations since she released a soundtrack single for “Charlie’s Angels” with Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey, titled “Don’t Call Me Angel”. It was released for the soundtrack on September 13, 2019 and it has received over 155 Million views on Youtube alone.
Her following collaboration on, “Stuck With U” with Justin Bieber released on May 8. It received controversy after rapper Tekashi69 accused the music Billboard of cheating when they placed the song in the number one spot earlier this week.
Both Bieber and Grande responded to these accusations, with Grande creating a long post setting the record straight.
When asked by Vogue Magazine about her recent releases in an interview, Ariana surprisingly said that her music sounds happy, but deals with past pain.
