Home Chelsea News Lampard agrees ‘exit the best solution’ amid Spurs, PSG interest

Frank Lampard has reportedly come to an agreement with Antonio Rudiger: ‘an exit is the best solution’.

That’s according to RMC Sport (via Sport Witness), who claim PSG are closest to agreeing a deal for the Germany international, despite reported interest from Tottenham.

The report states that PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is desperate to replace Thiago Silva with the Ligue 1 giants struggling defensively following his move to Chelsea.

The centre-back has slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and hasn’t featured in any of Chelsea’s opening three Premier League fixtures.

The report claims Tuchel and Rudiger ‘have exchanged many times on the telephone to discuss the possibility’.

But it adds that talks between the two clubs are ‘dragging’ with Chelsea preferring a permanent deal and PSG ‘only able to offer a loan’.

Rudiger alleged he was racially abused during Chelsea’s game at Tottenham last December.

Some Chelsea players said they’d be surprised if Alonso ever plays for the club again.

Frank Lampard should listen to his former self to get the best out of Havertz and Werner for Chelsea.

“I certainly hope Callum has a big part to play this season.”

Premier League winners and losers has the same old most-hated club.

Who will blink first when it comes to Manchester United and Chelsea for Mauricio Pochettino?

Sadly, we have no choice this week but to discuss The Handball Law. Sorry.

Liverpool feature heavily in Mediawatch, which takes its usual cynical look at the football media.

The Mailbox dissects Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal, from anger at Lacazette to Mane madness and Klopp v Keane.

Someone has agreed an option to spend £24.5m on the actual Andreas Pereira after a loan. Wow.

Liverpool won’t be signing anyone but could offload a couple. There is no Jadon Sancho on this list.
