A drive-by shooting outside a pool hall in Melbourne’s far west left one father dead and seriously injured another man

At around midnight on Saturday, multiple shots were fired from a moving vehicle outside the All Star Lounge on Westwood Drive in Ravenhall, police said

A 33-year-old father from Deer Park was shot in the upper body and taken to the hospital by friends and family, but did not survive

The other man, a 24-year-old, was seriously injured with a gunshot wound in the lower body. He was taken to the hospital by emergency services and remains in serious condition

Makram Rishani, who works at the All Star Lounge, said spectators took the injured man to his venue after the shooting, which took place about 150 meters away

He said a patron helped the injured man by wrapping an undershirt around his gun leg, Mr Rishani carried the man down and put pressure on his injured leg while they waited for an ambulance, he said bystanders after the shooting ran to his venue to look for safety

Mr Rishani said he did not witness the incident, nor did his patrons, but that they were implicated because they were trying to help

He said he did not know that either man had visited the pool hall on the night of the shooting and that he did not know their identity

Detectives from the murder squad and the local police were there on Sunday and had cordoned off the area

The police do not yet know whether the men knew each other or whether the deceased was targeted

“We looked into the criminal background of the deceased” There is very little and certainly nothing to suggest anything he was involved in This is a family manâ ????

“The family is upset and has a hard time explaining why one night ended in such tragedy,” he said

Police said a total of four shots were fired from a car that contained two men and that they had no “solid information” on the appearance of Sagittarius

The pool hall and shisha bar are in an industrial area next to a Ravenhall rental company and a mechanic and across from a funeral home
