Lichaa, 27, was hospitalized with serious arm injuries after an alleged battle at his home on Connells Point Road in Connells Point

In the early hours of Sunday morning officials were called into the house after Mr Lichaa, a current NRL player and a woman were involved in an argument that allegedly escalated into physical violence

In a statement, the Bulldogs said the club was “made aware of an alleged incident involving Adam Elliott”

“The club has reported the matter to the NRL Integrity Unit and is currently working with them,” the statement reads

Meanwhile, Mr. Lichaa was released from hospital late Sunday and taken to the Kogarah Police Station where he was charged with collective assault (domestic violence), destruction or damage to property (domestic violence), and stalking / intimidation, which Fear of physical harm caused (domestic violence)

Mr Lichaa played the last of his five seasons with the Bulldogs in 2019, having joined the club from Cronulla in 2015
