It’s a sin, Russell T Davies’ powerful drama highlighting the HIV-AIDS epidemic of the 1980s came to a heartbreaking conclusion last night (Jan. February) when Olly Alexander’s character Richie Tozer tragically passed away as a result of the virus

Now Nathaniel Curtis – who played Richie’s friend, lover and roommate Ash Mukherjee – spoke exclusively to Digital Spy about the emotional conclusion of the highly acclaimed drama

Relatives: Nathaniel Curtis on Ash’s love story and why it’s a sin is “not an AIDS drama”

“I’m not someone who really cries, and I’ve spent a lot of time crying about it. The way these scenes, the tough scenes, were approached, you had people who just cared about you

“I remember one scene where I had to cry and it was a bit much. I had been crying all day just saying that I had to go for some air without asking – there wasn’t any Questions – the producer immediately said: “Nathaniel is getting out”

“I’m very happy that I’ve never lost someone like this that I’ve fallen in love with. Just trying to capitalize on that was just so heartbreaking. It really stays with you to film scenes like this. And I love Olly in pieces I couldn’t imagine “

Another emotional ending took place for Roscoe Babatunde, who eventually returned home to explore his sexuality after his first departure. Actor Omari Douglas told Digital Spy: “I’m really glad that there was some kind of reconciliation for us in the end Roscoe gives

“There is a level of compromise without completely losing yourself, which I find great because it in turn adds to this matter of authenticity. He will take these steps towards reconciliation, but he will be true to himself I think , that was really important to top it off “

Organizations such as amFAR, Terrence Higgins Trust, and National Aids Trust (NAT) can provide more information on research, testing, and treatment for HIV and AIDS
