The Edmonton Oilers have once again turned to the waiver wire to increase goalkeeping depth, this time banning Alex Stalock from the Minnesota Wild waivers

Stalock has to complete a 14-day quarantine after crossing the Canada-U Limit before you are eligible to join the Oilers

The 33-year-old missed the entire season while recovering from an upper body injury but has had his best NHL season in 2019-20 with Stalock hitting career highs in games played (38), wins that season (20) and shutouts (four) with a save 910 percent and 267 goals against the average Clarify AHL

Earlier this season, the Oilers challenged Troy Grosenick from the Los Angeles Kings to get a third goalkeeper for more depth, but the Kings again challenged Grosenick to 6 in February

Panthers striker Brett Connolly approved the exemptions on Monday and can now be assigned to the taxi team
