During Rachel Lindsay’s interview with Chris Harrison about the 25th Season 3, Rachael Kirkconnell, continues to make headlines, is the Bachelorette’s 13th Season more context to their controversial chat

On Friday the 12th February, Lindsay, 35, revealed behind-the-scenes details of her interview with Harrison, 49, on the episode of the Higher Learning podcast, which included a conversation about 24-year-old Kirkconnell, a top runner in Matt James’ season was accused of being racist

“When I put Chris Harrison on Extra, he wanted to talk about last night’s episode [of The Bachelor] I invited him on a Tuesday [and] he’ll talk about what happened on Monday, “the former lawyer told Cohost Van Lathan, noting that no one on the show’s PR team spoke to them on the phone.” We did that But then I asked a question [because] something he said made me nudge a little harder. So I put the question, “What do you think about the allegations against Rachael?” And then he went ”

Lindsay then played clips from the 13-minute video in which Harrison emphasized that the controversial photos of Kirkconnell were taken at a party in the “Old South” on a plantation in Georgia in 2018

“I saw a picture of her at a sisterhood party five years ago, that’s it,” Harrison told Lindsay on Tuesday the 9th February, by Kirkconnell “My guess? These girls got dressed and went to a party and had a great time, they were 18 years old Is that okay? I don’t know Rachel, you tell me? Did we all go through 2018 [ this lens] looked? ”

“During this conversation he talked about me and during this conversation he talked about me,” she said. “He never gave me space to talk, And he never gave me space to share my perspective. He didn’t try to hear him just tried to be heard and that’s because I felt like he had an agenda that he wanted to push forward. He was really trying to push that forward. He expressed everything he said with passion and conviction, so for me, Tuesday was that what it was. And I’m not saying he can’t apologize. I’m not saying that he can’t learn and get better from it. ”

Amid backlash from fans and members of Bachelor Nation, Harrison posted on Wednesday November 10th February, a statement of apology: “I came up on issues I should have been better informed about. Although I am not speaking for Rachael Kirkconnell, I just wanted to ask her mercy by giving her the opportunity to speak on her own behalf What I now realize is that I have caused damage by speaking wrongly in a way that perpetuates racism and I am very sorry for that ”

Harrison also apologized for Lindsay and promised to do better in the future

“I definitely want to say that he turned to me,” said the reality TV personality on the “Higher Learning” podcast about the long-time bachelor’s presenter. “We had a conversation, a short conversation, but we had a conversation and he apologized and I appreciate that and then he made the statement but I have really, very hard arguing or really taking up and accepting this apology ”

For its part, Kirkconnell announced on Thursday the 11th February, their silence about the scandal broken via Instagram Lindsay and Lathan recorded their show at this time and responded to their statement about “Higher Learning”
