World News – CA – Wanted Over: Suspect arrested in gunfight in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia

AMHERST, NS. – Northern Nova Scotia police arrested a shooting suspect who remained at large for nearly 19 hours after a man was shot and wounded near a high school in southeast New Brunswick on Tuesday

Police in both provinces issued alerts warning residents that 24-year-old Janson Bryan Baker was armed with weapons “with the intention of using them”

Today at 9:37 a.m., the New Brunswick RCMP posted a tweet saying Baker’s vehicle was found abandoned in Amherst, N., which is 72 kilometers south of Moncton and near the New Brunswick border

At 12:05 p.m., another warning said the suspect had been arrested and the New Brunswick RCMP confirmed that Baker had been arrested without incident in Amherst

Filming on Tuesday took place just after 5 p.m. near Riverview High School, where a man with non-life threatening injuries was rushed to the hospital
