Eric Saade is a name Eurovision fans will be familiar with. The Swedish star stepped into the limelight in 2010 and took third place on his Melodifestivalen debut with the song “Manboy” A year later he rocked the Eurovision stage in Düsseldorf with “Popular” On the way to third place on the big stage, he shattered a lot of glass. With the song “Every Minute” he returns as a big favorite in Melodifestivalen 2021

Eric Saade has been in and around Melodifestivalen and Eurovision for over a decade. After winning Melodifestivalen in 2011 with “Popular”, he returned to Melodifestivalen in 2015 with the song “Sting” All three of Eric’s Melfest entries have achieved top 5 finishes, which means he naturally enters Melfest 2021 as an early favorite

“Every Minute” is the last song in the fourth semifinals, a position in the running order that has produced two winners in the last six years – both Måns Zelmerlöw and John Lundvik won Melfest from that position

In addition to his memorable appearances, Eric also hosted Melfest in 2019. He also represented Sweden twice as a Eurovision spokesman

Eric describes his song as “a sexy, addicting pop song – with a touch of darkness.” He sings about a passionate relationship he loves mornings, evenings, and weekends. What he lacks in subtlety he makes up for in sex appeal “Every Minute” definitely follows in the footsteps of Eric Saade’s earlier Melfest entries, with one more intimate catch – our favorite “manboy” has grown up

“Every Minute” was written by Eric Saade together with Linnea Deb, Joy Deb and Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt Joy and Linnea Deb have written a large number of Melfest hits, including two winners including the Eurovision 2015 winner “ Heroes ”, and they submitted four songs in this year’s edition of the competition. Thörnfeldt co-wrote five of this year’s songs and worked with major artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and One Direction. He also wrote“ El Diablo ”, the song that Cyprus contributed to Eurovision will represent 2021

We wake up
Together
We screwed it up
Memories of the last night
Can’t find it
You left
Laugh at our problems
How crazy,
We can’t stop
You don’t wanna go
Do you want to go

Oh baby
We couldn’t sleep so we were up all night
Make each other blush and that’s okay
I have the feeling
You have a feeling

I love it in the morning
Oh Nanananana
I love it in the evening
Oh Nananana
I love it every weekend
Oh Nananana
I want it all
Every minute!

I love it in the morning
Oh Nanananana
I love it in the evening
Oh Nananana
I love it every weekend
Oh Nananana
I want it all
Every minute!

We do not speak
We sweat
You know that
We could be too loud and
My window is wide open
And all of my neighbors are sleeping
We dont care
We just want to stay
Do you want to stay!

Oh baby
We couldn’t sleep so we were up all night
Make each other blush and that’s okay
I have the feeling
You have a feeling

I love it in the morning
Oh Nanananana
I love it in the evening
Oh Nanananana
I love it every weekend
Oh Nanananana
I want it all
Every minute!

I love it in the morning
Oh Nanananana
I love it in the evening
Oh Nanananana
I love it every weekend
Oh Nanananana
I want it all
Every minute!

I’m digging the entire concept of the insane love addict, hence the white sweater that resembles a restraint jacket

Eric’s song has terrible, harrowing lyrics and it sounds like a leftover David Guetta track from 2011 Dotter or The Mamas to win the whole thing (again lol)

Eric’s song is probably the best song of the year on Melfest I just personally think his voice is missing a shame because this is a potential Eurovision winner

Sorry, but that’s crap. And so was the staging and his delayed way of “dancing” (if you want to call it that) But he went straight to the finals because he’s Eric Saade of course sad It should have been Clara Klingenström instead

It’s sad that his singing hasn’t improved even in 12 years. Good song, but the voice is too nasal …

Right I think the studio version could be fun. The live vocals were … not the best

These lyrics have the sex appeal of a one-direction fanfiction written by a 14 year old girl

Maybe Eric should ask the Lithuanian singer about his stylish sweater from last year because he no longer needs it 😀

Make a ringtone out of it, a birth control soundtrack, a wedding dance, all sorts of ways with the song Watch the performance with parents and grandparents, discuss the melodies at school, so funny

Agree. Couldn’t you think of something else? The lyrics sound like they’re from someone trying to write the first love song or something but other than that, I find the song pretty weird in a good way

How miserable and desperate of an artist one must still try to make Eurovision, even after all these years lmao

Let’s not be so hard on Ms. Perrelli, what else should she do? lol

It won’t win the Nobel Prize for Poetry, but that doesn’t stop me from imagining him singing it to me 😛

That’s just because there is no Nobel Prize for poetry, otherwise it would have won it 🙂

There is a literary one that was won over to poetry in the past, eg Wislawa Szymborska
