Queen drummer Roger Taylor was interviewed with Brian May by Dave Everley of Classic Rock this week, and the couple talked about the 50 years of Queen and legendary late star Freddie Mercury

One of the most iconic stars in history, Freddie Mercury faced Queen for over 20 years from 1970 to 1991 until his unfortunate death from HIV / AIDS. He released two separate albums called “Mr Bad Guy and Barcelona as a solo and more than ten studio recordings with Queen

In their last interview with Classic Rock, Queen drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May remembered their late boyfriend Freddie and revealed whether Queen still existed after late legend Freddie was alive, according to Taylor, it’s so hard to find one to give an unequivocal answer to that question, but he believes that in some way Queen would still be together

“It was in my apartment in Shepherd’s Bush. He was a friend of Tim from Ealing College. He was on the fringes, really just a buddy. He had musical ambitions, but we were pretty good players and we weren’t sure if he could sing

“But his drive and determination to write original things was great. And of course we became great friends because we had the booth We lived in each other’s pockets and scrubbed together to eat”

“I can’t give you a definitive answer, of course, but I would suspect that in some form or another it would still be together I don’t think Freddie wanted to do it the same way

I don’t think we’d be performing live. I think we probably would still have made music – because we did. And Freddie was obsessed with music ”
