The Duke of Edinburgh was hospitalized after feeling unwell, Buckingham Palace said

Prince Philip, who is 99 years old, was admitted on the advice of his doctor, and a palace statement indicated that this was a precaution

The statement reads: “His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London on Tuesday evening

“The Duke’s admission is a precautionary measure on the advice of HRH’s doctor after feeling uncomfortable. The Duke is expected to stay in the hospital for a few days to observe and rest”
