The 33-year-old actor was runner-up on the ITV show’s third series, but Chris believes he went broke by the show’s bosses during “Dancing on Ice: The Greatest Show On Ice”
Chris – who played Tommy Duckworth on ‘Coronation Street’ – wrote on Twitter: “Unfortunately, my best pieces were rarely shown on the Dancing on Ice Best Bits Show tonight, I kind of expected it but can’t say that I’m not disappointed as I gave a hell of a lot to this show, finished second with my partner Frankie in 2008, and then continued to win UK tours of the live show
“I had some of the best times of my life being part of Dancing on Ice and the tours that followed I learned more and more about skating from the wonderful professionals and had loads of fun doing it.I always had incredible support from DOI fans, for which I will always be incredibly grateful. Team Fountain was born through my family, friends and the public (sic ) “
Chris has fond memories of the show but believes the special wrongly ignored him
In his post, the actor stated, “These are times that will stay with me forever, so I am very grateful to them and while it is unfortunate to be almost cut out of the memory of the show’s story, know me and the fans of the show know I’ve been there and I’m very proud of that. My routines don’t have to be on the best show to remind me of what I’ve accomplished, but it would have been nice to see them and yourself to remember!
“Thank you everyone for sending nice messages tonight and Frankie who was the most amazing original partner and Brianne who was a fantastic partner on tour! Good luck to participants this year and lots Love to everyone involved in the show both in front of and especially behind the camera Chris x (sic) “
