David Attenborough, 95, had viewers “concerned” for his health after delivering a special video message to the United Nations Security Council. During his speech, Sir David appeared to be having trouble keeping his left eye open. Fans were fast approaching Twitter to express their concerns about the broadcaster’s health One wrote: “Sir David Attenborough doesn’t look good, it worries me #climatemeeting”

One said, “David Attenborough is speaking right now and he really does not look good Please, sir, wrap him in all the sustained cotton you can find Nothing wrong with his speaking”

Others praised him for his clear speech on the threat of climate change, writing: “David Attenborough is fascinating, I just cried a little

“Was there ever a person who had the ability to take people this far?”

During his video message to the Security Council on Tuesday, Sir David called for countries around the world to come together to declare a climate emergency

The broadcaster warned of “new and unprecedented threats” to future generations unless swift action is taken to help the environment

Sir David said, “If we continue on our current path, we will face the collapse of everything that gives us security

“When the natural world can no longer support the basic needs of our needs, much of the rest of civilization will quickly collapse

“Please make no mistake, climate change is the greatest security threat modern humans have ever faced”

Britain is committed to Net Zero by 2050, but ahead of next month’s budget, Lord Deben, chairman of the Climate Change Committee, called for a change in the tax system to accelerate the UK’s greening

Lord Deben highlighted taxes that favor polluters over the environment, including 20 percent VAT on sales of electric cars – just like diesel and gasoline vehicles

He wrote, “Government must make it easier and cheaper to do the right thing, and it must be harder and more expensive to destroy nature”

The peer urged the UK to copy Norway’s tax incentives for electric cars, which now account for 54 percent of sales there

The Treasury Department stressed that Mr Johnson’s 10-point plan for his green industrial revolution included £ 12 billion in government funding for low-carbon technologies like electric vehicles
