A brand new detective drama hits the screens with ITV’s Grace this month – with Life on Mars’ John Simm

Endeavor creator Russell Lewis has adapted the international bestseller Peter James’ Dead Simple, his debut novel from the award-winning Roy Grace series

The first episode is based on the novel Dead Simple and sees Grace in the last chance as she executes inquiries about long-forgotten cold cases with little chance of success.After yet another reprimand for his unorthodox police methods, Grace walks a tightrope and risks that Job he loves most to be misplaced

Cardiff star Rakie is also a stage veteran who appears as the murderous Goneril on a national tour for the Talawa Theater Company and King Lear of the Royal Exchange

Midlands-born actress O’Neill has been a fixture on British television for decades, starring in the 1980s Simply Red music video for Holding Back the Years

O’Neill played Alex Redman in ITV’s medical drama Peak Practice and appeared as Sheila Jackson on Channel 4’s comedy drama Shameless in 2008, O’Neill also played Max and Jack Bran’s sister Suzy in EastEnders

She’s also been in Unforgotten, Wild at Heart, Inspector Morse, The Halcyon, Call the Midwife, and New Tricks

You saw Amaka on ITV’s most recent true crime hit Des, and she’s often featured in live National Theater productions, including McBeth, Hamlet and Peter Pan fans of The Split will see her as Chloe from the first series of the recognize legal drama

Scottish actor Brad has a huge résumé with stage appearances, including for the National Theater and the Bristol Old Vic, and has also been in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald

Laura was in the last Line of Duty series as Brandyce trying to gain a foothold on Kate Fleming’s territory You also know her from Chernobyl and Game of Thrones Sunderland actress Laura has appeared in the films Military Wives and Peterloo

Adrian, another British actor with a very impressive résumé, will be recognizable to Harry Potter fans as James Potter, Harry’s father

Adrian from Stoke-on-Trent recently had roles in Small Ax, A Witches’ Discovery, Sanditon, Chernobyl, Innocent, Hard Sun and Girlfriends

He has been playing since 1979 and has of course been featured in shows such as Solider Soldier, The Bill and Silent Witness

Line of Duty’s Caddy aka Dot aka Matthew Cottan was spotted on location in Brighton last fall, but it is not known who he plays as there is no information in the Internet Movie Database or episode cast lists don’t include him!
