Sienna Miller has praised the’ grace and dignity ‘of the late Chadwick Boseman who donated part of his salary for 21 bridges to her

Miller starred in the 2019 action thriller alongside Boseman, who played a detective who blocked Manhattan’s 21 river crossings to find two suspected cop killers

After Boseman’s death in August at the age of 43, 39-year-old Miller announced that he had exceeded her wages to what she originally asked to be paid with his own salary

On today’s edition of the Graham Norton Show, the actress says, “We’ve become close friends and I didn’t really want to mention it, so I wrote him a letter to thank him”

“It was an endorsement for a man I respected so much. It’s that kind of behavior that moves the needle – there is a lot of talk but not much action

“He had grace and dignity – it wasn’t flashy, he did it because it was fair”’

The Alfie star said, “This was a pretty big budget movie, and I know everyone understands the pay gap in Hollywood, but I asked for a number the studio wouldn’t get”

“And Chadwick ended up donating part of his salary to take me to the number I asked for. He said I deserved to be paid that”

When asked about the continuation of the Marvel epic, the 31-year-old said: “That’s what the streets say

“We must honor Chadwick for this and give as much to his legacy as he gave us because he gave us everything. He was an incredible man with an incredible soul”

Kevin Feige said that Boseman’s performance “was iconic and transcends any iteration of the character in a different medium from Marvel’s past, and for this reason we will not recast the character”

He is expected to receive posthumous awards this award season for his performance in his final film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

Kaluuya and Miller at Graham Norton tonight include Adrian Lester, Mayim Bialik, Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris, while Arlo Parks will perform Caroline live in the studio
