Children and teenagers across the country will transform themselves into their favorite literary characters today to celebrate the occasion

With the costume event, which takes place every 4 March takes place, World Book Day is a registered charity with the aim of giving each child and young person their own book

If your child attends today we would love to see pictures of them in their costumes

If you have a little Harry Potter, Matilda, or even Gangsta Granny, take a picture and we’ll upload your photos to a gallery!

Send us a picture of your child or children dressed up for World Book Day and it can appear in our online gallery or in the newspaper!
