Reporting on the impact of the coronavirus on the sports world

As wonderful as the NCAA tournament is, it’s over almost as quickly as it got there. The last four are seeded, and while two No. 1 seeds remain – Gonzaga and Baylor – a Cinderella still stands among them No 11 the UCLA has beaten from the top four and almost by the state of Michigan to 19th Achieve Final Four of the program

The Bruins face their biggest challenge to date against No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga The Bulldogs are a 14-point favorite according to the William Hill Sportsbook, making UCLA the biggest underdog in the Final Four since the tournament was expanded in 1985. Gonzaga is two Victories from being just the eighth team to go undefeated and win the tournament, and the first since Indiana in 1976 All but one of Gonzaga’s wins that season have been in double digits, so it’s not surprising that Mark Few’s team is one of the favorites again

In the other No. 1 game, Baylor is a five-point favorite over No. 2 Houston, The Bears make their third Final Four in program history and first with coach Scott Drew, while the Cougars appear in their sixth – but their first since Days of Phi Slama Jama in the early 1980s
