Amazon Studios has finally set the release date for the upcoming film adaptation of Tom Clancys Without Remorse after successfully acquiring distribution rights to Michael B. Jordan-led action film from Paramount Pictures Originally slated for release in February 2021, the film will now be released on March 30th, 2021 Premiered exclusively on Amazon Prime Video April 2021.Check out the full poster in the gallery below!

In addition, Deadline brings the news that Michael B Jordan has also officially signed an overall agreement with Amazon Studios to develop films and television shows exclusively for Prime Video.Jordan will produce and acquire high-profile films through its Outlier Society that reflect Outlier’s desire to showcase diverse filmmaking talent for Amazon’s growing original films, one of the Projects being developed as part of this new deal is a new limited series customization centered around the life of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali and set to produce Jay-Z’s Roc Nation

Jordan will play the role of Clancy hero John Clark, a recurring character in Clancy’s novels Clark is a former Navy Seal who became the CIA Operations Officer Initially, he was a supporting character helping Jack Ryan’s missions, but the novel Without Regrets made him the lead actor and told his exciting but tragic story of how he came about. In the film, Clark seeks revenge after his girlfriend was killed by a Baltimore drug lord

The film is directed by Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of the Soldado) from a script adapted by Taylor Sheridan.The cast also includes Jamie Bell (Jumper), Luke Mitchell (Blindspot), Cam Gigandet (Ice), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Jacob Scipio (Bad Boys for Life), Brett Gelman (Stranger Things) and Jack Kesy (Claws) and Colman Domingo (Fear of the Walking Dead)

It will be produced by Jordan, Akiva Goldsman (Transformers), Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. Paramount Pictures is developing two film adaptations of Tom Clancy’s thriller novels Without Remorse and Rainbox Six, with Jordan also starring in the planned sequel

John Clark has appeared as the darker side of the Jack Ryan character in a number of Tom Clancy’s 1988 novels, The Cardinal and the Kremlin, who mostly works in the field and generally acts according to his personal ethics The character was played by Willem Dafoe in Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford and by Liev Schreiber in The Sum of All Fears with Ben Affleck
